
Expert 329 served 25 years with the Albany Police Department going from patrol officer to captain. He was commander of a police division of 100+ officers and a police court with a 36-cell lock-up facility handling over 5,000 prisoners per year. As a police administrator, he authored the Albany Police Department Pro-Arrest Domestic Violence Policy ten years before mandatory domestic violence arrest became New York State law. He assisted the New York State Commission on Corrections in developing a Forensic Suicide Screening tool that helped to reduce suicides in New York State Prisons and lock-ups.
Expert 329 is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy and the United States Secret Service Seminar. He is the holder of the Combat Cross and two Life Saving Awards. He was given the New York State Parole Officers Association Police Achievement Award. He obtained both a Bachelor and Master’s Degree from New York State Empire State College and has been working on a Doctorate at Nelson Rockefeller College. While at Empire State College he earned the Distinguished Student Award. He holds the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification from the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS) and is certified as a New York State Security Guard trainer.
Since starting his second career he has served as a Regional Security Manager for Merck Pharmaceuticals and is currently a student advisor and adjunct professor in Criminology with Empire State College. He has his own consulting business providing a variety of security related services as well as forensic support on security, police and correctional matters.
