
1995 - Present: Consultation regarding horses, horse training, horse riding and horse racing. Expert testimony, reports and opinions.
1972 - Present: Employed by trainers to assist with riding, training, and skill enhancement and care of horses at racetracks. Trainers names available upon request.
1973 - 1995: Instructor at the American Jockey School
Duties: Taught riding skills to jockeys. Concentration on particular problems. Taught horse care to professional riders. Instructed on horse behavior, different work techniques needed for different horse temperaments.
Has over twenty-five years in the business and worked for several farms, racetracks and trainers. Has been responsible for breaking young horses from scratch, many of which have gone on to include high stake winners.
Has ridden and helped train horses that have won the Preakness, Belmont Stakes, the Santa Anita derby and numerous breeders' cups. Has assisted in the riding and the training of three "Horses Of The Year."
Has consulted on numerous cases including cases dealing with the following issues:
Hazards of an exercise ring and appropriate handling of horses of various temperaments. Protective equipment to be used in educating riders, racetrack hazards, age and experience requirements before teaching certain riding techniques. Evaluating distinctions between male and female riders and their capabilities in competition and training. Avoiding injury to horses during early stages of training and breaking.
