Nov. ‘98 – present, Assistant Dept. Head, A private university (DPR). Responsible for day-to-day operations of Department and direct supervision of 2 District Supervisors, 1 Regulatory Supervisor, and 11 support staff positions. Wrote, managed, and administered federal grants totaling almost $600,000.00. Assisted with administration of budget of $1.8M. Assisted with long-term policy and program development. Assisted with representing the DPR’s interests in the University community and on the state and national level. Managed day-to-day operations of the DPR’s Pendleton office. 

Oct. ‘96 - Nov. ‘98, District Supervisor, CU DPR Duties as below for a smaller territory plus: supervised 3 Regulatory Specialists and one Statistical and Research Analyst; reviewed case files; prepared and, where necessary, presented enforcement actions for administrative and criminal prosecution; insured that inspections, investigations, and other required activities for one-third of the state were accomplished correctly and in a timely manner; represented the DPR on state environmental, waste, and resource-management committees; prepared administrative and quality-management reports.

June ‘93 - Oct. ‘96, Senior Pesticide Regulatory Specialist, CU Dept. of Fertilizer and Pesticide Control Duties as below plus: trained new inspectors; performed quality-control and performance audits of inspectors; developed and implemented internal policy; supervised compliance monitoring program for structural pest control regulations; developed quality-audit procedures for assessment of departmental performance by regulated community and SC citizens; coordinated computer training for inspectors; wrote software and training materials; accomplished specialized research projects and training programs for department and industry.

Oct. ‘86 - June ‘93, Pesticide Regulatory Specialist, CU DFPC. Enforced SC pesticide regulations. Co-wrote departmental policy and procedure manual  Taught sessions of 2-day "Master Termite Technician" school. Wrote, developed, and taught 2-day "Apprentice Termite Technician" and "Wood Destroying Organism Inspection" schools.
