Manager, Health Information Management Services.  Direct medical record services for a 200 physician, multi-specialty medical group.  Managed staff of 55.5 FTEs in four locations.  Oversee budget of $1.3 million.  Developed priority system for chart request processing.  Recommended and implemented new medical record folder system.  Achieved accreditation by TMQC and AAAHC.  Provide medical records for HEDIS audits, and HMO requests.  Provide in-service on confidentiality to staff and orientation to Management Services, Health Information Security, Risk Management Committees; Electronic Medical Record.

9/89-4/91  Assistant Manager.  Responsible for assisting in the management of daily operations of the medical records department.  Additional responsibilities include: assisting in the implementation of a new computer system, reviewing and revising procedures and job descriptions as necessary, compiling department performance statistics, and providing support to supervisory personnel.  Assumes full responsibility in manager’s absence.  Member of Quality Assurance Committee and Environmental Safety Committee.

Medical Record Supervisor.  Responsible for supervising and monitoring work flow of the clerical staff of the computerized master patient index area.  Duties include preparation of multiple special statistical reports and correction of duplicate medical records.  In addition, assist in the preparation of the annual departmental personnel, operations, and equipment budgets; planning, evaluating and implementing of a new automated hospital information system.  Assumed supervision of second shift staff.
