Expert 1086 has earned an accomplished career encompassing over 25 years in process safety, with 13 years extensive consulting practice and numerous publications. With process engineering background, he started his career with dust explosions, and later obtained his Ph.D. based on his extensive research on gas explosions. He has built up expertise on electrostatic hazards through numerous incident investigations and laboratory studies. By obtaining Professional Engineer (PE) license on fire protection and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation, he broadened his career foundation and is well versed with safety engineering, regulations, codes and standards. More importantly, he has been dedicated his career to solving safety problems that pose great challenges to the well-being of various industries. Consulted for Fortune 100 companies and other diversified companies in various industries and provided practical and safe solutions, including chemical, pharmaceutical, food, petrochemical, petroleum oil and gas, cosmetics, powder manufacturing/processing, powder coating, paint and coating, adhesives, metal/metallurgical, polymer, rubber, plastic, sulfuric acid, fertilizer, textiles, and equipment manufacturing such as medical testing equipment. Services included hazard assessments, safety reviews / audits of process safety/fire/explosion programs. Conducted electrostatic hazards assessments and electrical (hazardous) area classifications.

Conducted investigations of dust, liquid (vapor) and gas fire and explosion incidents in various industrial manufacturing facilities, including those large scale cases that drew attentions of Congress, Federal agencies and general public. Provided direct and root cause analysis, as well as suggestions for improvements.

Provided expert witness, opinions and advices and played instrumental roles in litigation cases that involved multiple fatalities, injuries and/or severe property damages as results of fire and explosions.
