Expert 1343 is president and chief executive officer for a pharmaceutical consulting firm. This multi disciplinary medical research and education corporation provides clinical pharmacy services, medical research and education support to private hospitals, teaching institutions and research foundations nationally. Expert 1343 is the founding dean and professor of pharmacy for a local college of pharmacy in Southwestern Virginia. He is involved in the care of elderly residents in long- term care facilities across the U.S.
Expert 1343 is a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico. He has a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. Expert 1343 holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology from the University of Utah Medical Center. He completed a two-year clinical pharmacy residency at the University of Utah Medical Center. Expert 1343 helped to establish a pharmaceutical college where he was Professor of Pharmacy from 2001 through 2004. Prior to his appointment at the pharmaceutical college Expert 1343 was Associate Professor of Medicine and Pharmacy at a medical college Virginia. He is an avid researcher and author. His clinical research led to the implementation of a national heart attack program and the Practice Guidelines for the National Institutes of Health and the American Heart Association (AHA). Expert 1343 is the only pharmacist to serve on a national cardiac life Support Committee. Expert 1343 was an investigator in the medial trials. His research with amiodarone and with ramipril has led to improvements in the treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease and diabetes. He founded a specialty practice group for critical care pharmacy; was its first chairman; and wrote standards and learning objectives in a critical care pharmacy. Expert 1343 served on a critical care board from 1992 to 1998. Expert 1343 dedication to Geriatrics was recognized when he became the first recipient of a prestigious pharmaceutical award. Expert 1343 was a member of the FDA Geriatric Drug Advisory Committee from 1990 through 1995. He has published numerous articles and book chapters. His textbooks are used by EMS systems throughout the world. Expert 1343 is a reviewer for numerous scientific journals, research fellowship committees and grant award committees.
