Assigned to Patrol Division Shift Command, responsible for the operation of a 12-hour/day shift including the supervision of seven road deputies, seven jail officers, and three dispatchers.

Responsible for the investigation of major crimes; homicides, robberies, burglaries, and sex related offenses. Trained to investigate deaths and determine the cause.

Patrolman - 1987 to 1990

Patrolman - Jail Commander - 1975 to 1987
Actively patrolled, preserved the public peace, and prevented crime in the county area. Protected life, and enforced federal statutes, state laws, and local ordinances. Maintained an effective operation of policies and procedures, ensuring the smooth operation of the jail and enforcing state and federal jail regulations. Hired and supervised 17 civilian employees who worked the jail and communication. Responsible for all jail administration, including budgeting and scheduling of employees.

Office in Charge of Reserves:
Organized a 15-member unit in 1982 by writing a proposal to the County Council. Trained, supervised, and scheduled all officers.
