Developed an in vitro tri-laminar human cell culture system to study cranial suture fusion. Examined various growth factors to promote/inhibit cranial suture fusion.

Investigations of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV-1) and its effects on the central nervous system. Development and characterization of human fetal glial cell lines. Elucidated neurodevelopmental pathways for central nervous system cells.

Devised a technique for diagnosis of B-cell lymphoma using immunoglobulin gene rearrangements. Work involved gel electrophoresis, Southern blot hybridization, Ig probe construction, immunofluorescent staining, and tissue culture.
