Switchman, Switch Foreman, Trainman, Conductor, CRO (car retarder operator), Switch Tender, Skate man, Crow, Flagman, Pilot & worked as a Locomotive engineer. Locomotives.
Qualified by Federal License 49 CFR, part 240 to operate diesel locomotives (engineer), & Remote Control Locomotives. Did qualification rides for both locomotive engineers & RCL operators. Yardmaster, Trainmaster both freight & commuter operations, Manager of Yard Operations, Safety Officer, Safety Manager & Terminal Superintendent.
Member in good standing with Brotherhood of Trainmen, Yardmasters of America & the United Transportation Union (UTU)
Assisted CNWT & UPRR Claims & Law Departments on investigation of PI cases, also gave depositions on PI cases & gave testimony at trials on PI cases.
Taught Supervisory Skill to supervisors in all departments of the railroad.
Taught quality programs like Quality Safety Meetings, Managing by Objectives, Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement Process & Leadership skills to employees of Chicago & NorthWestern Railroad & Union Pacific.

Was certified and taught ARC Standard 1st Aid and American Heart Associations CPR.

Chicago and Northwestern Railroad won numerous E.H. Harriman Memorial Awards for Railroad Safety. These awards recognized CNWT employees as among the safest in the Nation.
Safety Manager of the Chicago Service Unit which won a 1st place in safety out (21) other Service Units on the UPRR System, in 1998. Was a Speaker at the UPRR 1999 Leadership Conference held in Dallas Texas on operations & safety.
