Experience

Expert No. 1989 career has been dedicated to the design, manufacturing and operation of turbo machinery used by the marine, electric utility and process industries. Has engineered steam turbine product lines and components while an engineer at Westinghouse Electric (Lester, PA) and Terry Corporation (Windsor and Niantic, CT) and Conmec, Inc. (Bethlehem, PA).  In 1992 formed an independent turbo machinery engineering company, Foster Cove Engineering, Inc.  Has concentrated on failure investigation, project management, and redesign for efficiency and reliability upgrades of turbo machinery – primarily steam and gas turbines.  Has extensive experience with the insurance industry including investigation and mitigation of large losses. Has been actively involved in litigation including mediation, arbitration and preparation for trial for matters involving steam and gas turbines and other turbo machinery. 

Managed product development programs with responsibility for several new product lines while at Terry Corporation.  Expert No. 1989 was associated with Imo Industries thru 1992 with concentration on engineered components and specific focus on projects related to fluid film bearings, turbo machinery blading, steam turbine repairs and reapplication of turbo machinery in the electric utility industry. Became Product Manager – Steam Turbines for Conmec, Inc., a diversified turbo machinery consulting and manufacturing company in 1998 thru 2000.  This additional exposure to large mechanical drive steam turbines has broadened experience base.
