Summary Of Qualifications

My 36 years of experience with Private Company in New York as a technician, an engineer and a manager have enabled me to become familiar with the design and operation of all of the Company’s electrical distribution systems. I have prepared and monitored both Capital and O & M budgets. As a manager I have successfully lead employees to achieve company goals and made improvements in 4 departments in 3 different Customer Service Areas. These achievements have consistently earned me above average ratings and 3 incentive awards.

Work Experience

1990 - 1998
Manager Customer Engineering - Manhattan
Achieved improved Customer Satisfaction through the efforts of Engineering and the Vault and Bus Design Sections. Responsible for the design of distribution facilities required for the addition of new electrical loads on Manhattan’s secondary network systems. Also successfully managed the work force for Retail Commercial Services and Field Engineering for varying duration’s during this period.

1984 - 1990
Division Manager Construction - Staten Island
Provided leadership for overhead and underground construction work force, exceeding productivity goals 4 years in a row. Projects for load relief and new business were completed on time and within budget. Construction work included the repair, maintenance and upgrading of 33KV primary, 13KV auto-loops, 4KV and secondary network systems, and the URD systems. Underground forces in the absence of red wagons had the responsibility for all splicing including the direct buried 138KV transmission feeders. During this period I also replaced the General Manager for 10 months while he was recovering from an accident.

1979 - 1984
Division Manager Engineering - Staten Island
Successfully directed the engineering work force in the preparation of long range plans required to keep pace with the rapid growth of Staten Island. Prepared and monitored the Operation and Maintenance budget for Engineering and the Capital ED-1 budget for Operations. Innovative ideas included; the use of 33/13KV step down transformers to fill the gap until the 138/13KV station at Wainwright was completed and convincing the City to provide a dual subway system for more than a mile along South Avenue resulting in considerable savings for the Company.

1977 - 1979
Division Manager Distribution Services - Bronx
Managed emergency forces responsible for the prompt restoration of overhead and underground electric facilities during contingencies. The work force also included Control Center Staff, Substation Operation and Maintenance, Field Operators, Flush Truck and Clerical Staff, who also assisted in the preparation of the bureaus O & M budget. Was successful in changing the plans and that resulted in increasing the space allocated for the Emergency Control Center when the new building was added at Van Nest.

Engineering Management - Progressing Levels - Various Locations
Assistant Engineer T working on various assignments on the Cadet Engineering Program at different locations throughout the system. Worked in Staten Island Engineering as Assistant Engineer, Distribution Engineer and Chief Distribution Engineer.

Worked on the 4kv network distribution systems in Brooklyn and Queens.
