Experience includes exposure assessments, developing and conducting training programs; identifying, evaluating and solving safety and environmental health problems; expert witness testimony; accident reconstruction; loss-prevention program design and management and industrial hygiene testing. Consultation activities often involve product liability, human factors engineering, evaluation of air contaminants, noise testing, warnings evaluation and determination of work relatedness of injury or illness. Expert witness and consulting experience in a wide variety of environments including: construction sites, public buildings, restaurants, retail stores, hospitals, manufacturing and assembly plants, camp grounds, and homes.
Waukesha County Technical Institute, Waukesha, Wisconsin. (1977-1979) Instructor/Consultant. Developed and taught courses entitled “Occupational Health” and “Environmental Instrumentation and Sampling”. Also taught course entitled “Safety Management”. Special consultation included developing and conducting seminars under a program funded by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Wisconsin Council of Safety, Madison, Wisconsin. (1975-1978). Director of Programs. Responsible for all safety and health training programs and consultation activities for 4,000-member organization. Responsibilities included developing and conducting new training programs and remaining informed of current and proposed safety and health regulations. Editor of Wisconsin “Safety and Health Report,” monthly update newsletter. Extensive lecturing and speaking experience at programs for schools, municipalities, private organizations and government agencies. Consultation activities included developing safety programs for private industry, worker compensation consulting and safety problem solving.
Self Employed, Milwaukee, WI (1973-1975) Safety and Industrial Hygiene Consultant. Provided safety and health audits of automobile dealerships, grocery stores and other retail establishments. Assisted clients in developing safety programs and eliminating safety and health hazards.
Liminetics Inc., Milwaukee, Wisconsin. (1971-1973) Environmental Consultant. Supervisor of Industrial Monitoring Department. Directed all stack sampling, ambient air monitoring, industrial hygiene, safety and noise survey projects. Responsibilities included proposal writing, program design, data analysis, report writing, and court testimony when required. Responsible for development of sampling instruments. Provided technical advice to municipalities and private industry regarding safety and health concerns. Remained informed of current and proposed environmental and safety legislation for all of the United States.
City of Oak Creek, Water and Sewer Utility, Oak Creek, Wisconsin. (1969-1970) Safety and Health inspection of utility construction projects and facilities. Conducted pollution control operations. Assisted in general water quality assurance.
