My career in human resources began as a Personnel Specialist, Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge in Trainee Management, and Headquarters Sixth US Army in 1968. Eighteen years with JCPenneys Credit Regional Office as Personnel and Personnel Development Manager, Buena Park, California. Thirteen years as Director, Employee Financial Programs for Isuzu Motors America, Inc. and there three affiliate corporations.
I have been providing human resource consulting services as an independent consultant since January of 2002.
33 years of general experience working for large national corporations that included overseeing group benefits, retirement plans, casualty and property insurance, loss control and safety programs, budgeting, payroll, and company-owned fleet programs.
As a practitioner with a specialty in group benefit and retirement programs my experience included chairing the Isuzu Companies’ Retirement Committee for the five participating Isuzu Corporations and Plan Administrator. This responsibility included coordination of all activities between the Retirement Committee, Trustee, Actuary, and Investment Managers and serving on the Client Advisory Board with Fidelity Investments.
Currently serving on the 2003 & 2004 Board of Directors for PIHRA (Professionals In Human Resources Association), which is an affiliate of SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management).
