Managed the day-to-day staffing and operations of a high-tech retail store. Implemented best practices. Initiated and supervised a staff development process for 16 employees based on continuous quality improvement. Negotiated major corporate contracts in a highly competitive market. Monitored inventory control for computer equipment. Designed a Personnel Policy Manual to result in an empowered workforce. Set the stage for the sale of the business.

1984-1986, NYNEX, New York, Director of Training and Corporate Accounts

Designed a high-tech, state-of-the-art training facility including the development of highly effective training processes and materials, and an innovative approach for developing management level employees. The training center achieved a 60% profit margin. Scheduled and staffed full-time training on-site and at client facilities. Also marketed training and computer equipment. Recognized as one of top ten corporate salespeople in the Northeast.

1981-1984, Norwich City Schools in New York, Director of Educational Communications

Developed a diverse staff of twenty managers into an innovative and highly productive team. Created and presented extensive financial, statistical, progress, and strategic planning reports. Selected as New York State Outstanding Administrator for Project Equity. Selected for New York State Board positions with Projects VOICE (Vocational Options in Creating Excellence) and MOVE (Maximizing Options in Vocational Education). Planned first Women in Organizations Conference for Syracuse University.

1978-1979, Pennsylvania Department of Education Intermediate Unit, Director of Program Evaluation and Human Resource Development

Developed, coordinated, and implemented a staff development process for over 5,000 professional employees in the Pennsylvania Education system. Successfully completed a comprehensive school district assessment under challenging circumstances.

1971-1976, Wyalusing School District, Pennsylvania, Coordinator of Media Services and Librarian Drove educational innovation in curriculum, management, and staff training. Acted as liaison with State/Federal Education Departments to evaluate grant proposals & develop improvement processes.
