SUMMARY

This expert received his master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Southern Methodist University, during which time he began studying accidents and working on failure analysis.  His early work with Bell Helicopter provided an opportunity to further explore metal fatigue, fracture and failure analysis.  Concurrent with his interest in vehicles and collision analysis, he has been intimately involved in auto racing because it has proven to be a test bed for new technology, vehicle development, and the best training center for the understanding of vehicle handling and control.
