Clinical Consultations
Expert has performed over 3000 examinations in nearly 20 years of clinical practice representing all areas of diagnosis and patient care. His primary involvement for many years in medical care for HIV spectrum patients brought him into contact with both focal and diffuse neurological vectors of all varieties, from neo-plasms, such as CNS Lymphoma, PML, and astrocytoma, to infectious conditions, such as Cerebral Toxoplasmosis and Cryptococcal Meningitis, to chronic, degenerative diseases, such as HIV and CMV Encephalopathy. He has also examined numerous patients suffering from traumatic brain injury, cerebrovascular conditions and dementias of aging. Patients seen have also represented all varieties of psychiatric conditions, including psychosis, affective disorders, anxiety, somatization disorders and PTSD among others. He is familiar with all major extraneous factors in testing such as malingering, pain and concurrent treatment with analgesic, psychiatric and other medications. He has provided clinical diagnosis in both inpatient and outpatient settings. His clinical patients have ranged from Academy Award recipients and household names, to homeless schizophrenics.
Forensic Consultations
Expert has consulted on all neurocognitive and neuroaffective aspects of disability, personal injury, patient veracity and testamentary capacity since 1989. He has been a consultant to individual attorneys as well as large corporations. He has consulted on cases throughout the state of California as well as in Nevada, Colorado and Alaska. Expert has testified in numerous depositions and arbitrations. He has provided trial testimony in the California Superior Courts of Los Angeles, San Pedro, San Diego, Indio and Orange Counties. He has provided consultation to both plaintiff and defense counsel in all forensic settings.
