Forensic Biologist, Senior Supervisor – Criminalist IV. Supervised criminalists and laboratory associates in an ASCLD-LAB accredited forensic biology laboratory. Responsible for examining physical evidence, generating and interpreting data associated with medical legal investigations. Trained analysts in evidence exam, DNA analysis and courtroom testimony. Interacted with district attorney’s offices, police departments and other city agencies regarding casework. Qualified as an Expert Witness in Forensic Biology to the criminal justice systems of the City of New York. Certified as an ASCLD-LAB Inspector and DNA Lab Auditor. 1991 – 1997 Molecular Oncology Research Assistant. Studied the structure and regulation of the human MUC-2 gene. Techniques include DNA, RNA, protein isolation and manipulation; fusion protein production; cloning; cDNA, genomic and cosmid library construction; PCR amplification; sequencing; establishment of Transgenic mouse line and subsequent histological analysis.
