  • Owner of Power Engineers LLC, an electrical engineering, design and consulting firm. As a principal engineer,  provides electrical engineering services, power system design, medium and low-voltage distribution, substation engineering, lighting design, technical studies and consulting to clients such as utilities, renewable energy (solar, wind, etc.) developers, municipalities, colleges, attorneys, the insurance industry, industrial / commercial facilities and other consultants.
  • Works as an independent expert in forensic assessment of electrical equipment at both low and high voltages, including the preparation of repair/replacement estimates and making recommendations to clients to minimize costs and down-time. Frequently reviews electrical test data to help his clients determine equipment condition and proper maintenance intervals, and has provided expert opinions in a number of injury and insurance cases involving both equipment failure and electrical injuries.

Works heavily in the renewable energy industry in the design of electrical interconnection, design of electrical construction plans, protection, metering and consulting for developers and owners of large-scale solar (PV) and wind turbine projects ranging from 100kW-100MW. Has been responsible for analytical and computerized modeling, load flow, short circuit, power factor correction, line loss, voltage drop, arc flash, and protective relaying studies for a number of large and small facilities, utilities, solar projects, etc.
  • Is a Registered Professional Engineer in 12 states (Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maryland, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, New York, and Minnesota). Is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and the Boston Chapter of the Power Engineering Society and has served on the PES Education Committee. Is also a recognized member of the electrical engineering honor society Eta Kappa Nu.

Principal Engineer, Owner,  Private Consulting Engineer Company, Hopedale, MA
Part owner of a firm that specializes in electric engineering and design of utility power systems. Work included design of medium and low voltage electrical facilities for clients including utilities, colleges and industrial/commercial facilities. Prepared detailed planning studies for utilities, municipalities and colleges, used for long range planning to retire old equipment and make recommendations to add system capacity in anticipation of future load growth. Primary focus is on underground electrical systems, including the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for new medium voltage power cable extension projects.

Was responsible for engineering functions for distribution utility serving 30,000 people. Work included design of new electrical services, low and medium voltage for new residential and commercial customers.
