Registered Nurse First Assistant, RNFA

• Orthopedic cases: Total Joint, Trauma, Sports medicine, Spine, Hand and Foot
• General cases: Open and Laparoscopic procedures, Bowel Resections, Mastectomies
• Plastics cases: Abdominoplasty, Breast reconstruction (Flaps & Expanders)
• OB/GYN procedures
• Robotic Surgeries: Prostatectomy, Bowel Resections, Hysterectomies
• Cardiac/Vascular cases: CABG, Heart Valves, AV fistulas/grafts, Aorto-Femoral bypass

Hybrid Endovascular Room, RN, RNFA, RN Scrub

• Hybrid vascular procedures including EVAR, TEVAR, FEVAR using state-of-the-art endovascular approaches and open vascular cases
• Performed under IV sedation (vital sign monitoring, drub administration, and continual assessment)
• Routine circulating duties including use of Surgicount, use of Hemocron machine
• Liaison with patients and family pre and post-surgical procedure
• Involvement in the development of standards and practices for hybrid OR
• Involvement in the development and implementation of the Hybrid Operating Room

Registered Nurse Circulator / Registered Nurse Scrub

• Cardio-Thoracic Cases: All forms of cases varying from on and off-pump CABG’s. Complex valve and Aortic surgery. Heart 2nd Assistant. Assisted with vein harvest laparoscopic and open. Laparoscopic and Open Lung cases
• Orthopedic cases: All forms of surgery from Sports Medicine to complex Trauma -General cases: All forms of Surgery from minor to complex major, including Kidney Transplant and Harvest
• Plastics cases: All forms of Surgery from scar revision, complex wound cases, and cosmetic
• Vascular cases: All forms of surgery from AV fistula creation to major vascular bypasses. Endo-vascular cases
• GYN / Urology services: From minor outpatient procedures to C-sections

Registered Nurse Emergency Room / Assistant Nurse Manager

• Critical care of both Trauma and emergent patients
• BLS and ACLS skills
• Venipuncture / EKG interpretation
• Shift and day-to-day management of between 6 – 12 OR’s
• Management of staff, daily and annual reviews
• Assisting with budgetary planning
