Forensic Science Experience:

Forensic Toxicology
Analyzed blood and urine samples for the presence of controlled substances using Radio Immunoassay Techniques.
Forensic Serology
Analyzed sexual assault evidence for the presence of sperm and/or semen, ABO and Polymorphic Isozyme Typing as well as evaluating evidence for DNA Analysis.
Forensic Firearms
Identify fired bullets and cartridge cases back to specific firearms, render firearms safe, conduct bullet path analysis, and perform distance determination on evidence. Respond to shooting crime scenes to coordinate the collection, preservation and analysis of physical evidence.

    Crime Scene Investigation.
  • Qualified as an expert in the State of Texas in the area of Forensic Firearms Analysis.
  • Currently a Member of the Los Angeles County Superior Court Expert Witness Panel in the area of ballistics

Responsible for the creation and development of a Forensic Firearms Program for the Oxnard Police Department, Oxnard CA. My
responsibilities were to identify fired bullets and cartridge cases back to specific firearms, render firearms safe, conduct bullet path
analysis, and perform distance determination on evidence. Respond to shooting crime scenes to coordinate the collection,
preservation and analysis of physical evidence. Purchase necessary equipment to conduct all the aforementioned analysis.

Forensic Lecture/Instruction Experience:
Instructed new and seasoned detectives in the collection and preservation of physical evidence at crime scenes as an Assistant
Instructor with the Robert Presley institute of Criminal Investigation.

Microbiology Lab Experience:
Worked in Microbiology Prep Room, preparing bacteriological media, setting up Microbiology lab classes for instructor, autoclaving lab specimens and equipment at Cal State University Los Angeles for 4 quarters.
California Department of Public Health letter approving me for participation as a Public Health Microbiologist Trainee.

Teaching Experience:
I am a credentialed Instructor with the State of California in the area of Career Technical Education. I have taught Forensic Science and SB1626 to Students in the Public Safety Academy at the East San Gabriel Valley ROP/TC and also instructed 10th and 11th grade high school students in the area of Forensic Science and Administration of Justice at Edgewood High School in West Covina as part of my assignment with the East San Gabriel Valley ROP/TC.
I am was a substitute teacher with LAUSD Division of Adult and Career Education were I have taught students in the areas of Forensic Science, Police Science and state mandated training so that adults may get the Security Guard Card from the State of California. I have taught at the Abram Freidman Occupational Center and the Richard N. Slawson Southeast Occupational Center
I have taught 4 semesters of Environmental Science at Diamond Bar High School as part of my assignment with the East San Gabriel Valley ROP/TC.
I rewrote the Forensic Science curriculum for East San Gabriel Valley ROP/TC and it was accepted as an A through G Science in the State Of California, the name of the course is “Chemistry through Forensics”
I am currently teaching 6 periods of the Chemistry through Forensics Course at Diamond Bar High School and have been teaching this course since August of 2016.
