He is a Certified Safety Professional with over 20 years of experience in occupational safety and health. He holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Safety from Central Missouri State University. He has consulted with a wide variety of clients both nationally and internationally.
Before his consulting career, he was Director of Mechanical System Safety and Health at Burlington Northern Railroad, Staff Safety Engineer at Allied Signal Aerospace and Safety and Health Consultant for the OSHA Consultation Program. His expertise in machine safeguarding has been sought out across the United States, Canada and Germany. Two projects of special note include safeguarding for the largest flexible manufacturing system (FMS) in the United States, and largest continuous process stainless steel rolling mill in the world. He is also an accomplished safety motivational speaker, addressing safety committees and similar groups around the country.
His expertise extends into the classroom as well. He has taught many of the safety and health classes at the OSHA training institute in Kansas City, Missouri, and has conducted hundreds of national safety seminars. His combined practical experience and personal commitment to worker safety has made him a knowledgeable, well-rounded professional in the safety and health field.
