2000 – present Sole owner and operator of a licensed private detective corporation conducting investigations primarily for individuals and attorneys Responsibilities include reviewing cases and reports, consulting with clients regarding a course of action, locating and interviewing witnesses, taking statements, procuring documents, and other tasks as assigned.  Also conduct background investigations and other investigations as needed.

Burnsville Police Department

1978 – 200015 years as an investigator responsible for investigating and/or coordinating the investigation of crimes against persons including homicides, assaults, sexual assaults, stalking, harassment, child and domestic abuse, robbery and others; preparing reports and evidence for and testifying in court.   Also conducted background investigations and other assignments, as needed including the investigation of theft and other property crimes.

Mental Health Professional
Facilitated and conducted debriefings for the Critical Incident Stress Management team which deals with stress for police, fire, rescue, paramedics, nurses and other emergency personnel who have been exposed to a critical incident such as officer involved shootings, child deaths and fatal motor vehicle accidents.  Conducted stress reduction sessions with individuals and couples.

Counselor:  as part of the Master’s of Arts degree, I worked approximately 750 hours as a counselor in an employee assistance program conducting individual and couples counseling, coordinating with client’s employers regarding work performance, safety issues and risk assessment, coordinating with outside therapists concerning long term therapy, and made other referrals.
