Locksmith Security Expert Witness

Objective:

To provide services relating to the lock and security industry.

I have been involved in the locksmith industry since 1986 and I am the Director of California Institute of Locksmithing, currently the only locksmith school approved by the State of California who has active ongoing training. I have provided lectures and consulting to law enforcement, private investigators, real estate agents, locksmith associations and attorneys. I am active in the field and work jobs on a daily basis including commercial, residential, automotive, electronic access and teaching.

I have an expert working knowledge of all fundamental aspects of the locksmithing field. I have been licensed in the state of California since 1994, but been doing locksmithing since 1986. I was also a locksmith in the State of Nevada.

Relevant Experience and Skills:

~President of Friedman College, the parent company of the California Institute of Locksmithing, which is a California state approved school by the Department of Consumer Affairs Private, Post-Secondary and Vocational Education Division. The school is a training facility for individuals who wish to become licensed locksmiths, professionals needing to expand their skills and custom seminars for various industry needs. I am actively in the field doing locksmith calls, servicing residential, automotive and 50+ commercial buildings.

~I have provided specialized training/consulting for such governmental agencies including FBI, Border Patrol, Secret Service, and the California Contractors License Board.

~Former police officer in Churchill County, Nevada.

~Former Vice-President of the California Locksmith Association and former President of the San Fernando Valley Chapter.

~Licensed by the State of California to instruct locksmithing, private investigations and the California guard card.

~Training in Martial Arts – Tae Kwon Do, Shotukan and a blackbelt in Ketsugo Jujitso.

~Subject matter expert for C-28 Lock & Security for the California Contractor’s State License Board. 2008-Present, responsible for re-writing the state required test for Lock & Security.

~Experienced in testifying in court, preparing pre-deposition questions, lock forensics and related professional photography for preserving evidence.
