Statement of Fact

Maritime accidents both large and small can occur in a wide range of circumstances.  Generally, the common denominators of most maritime accidents are human error and related human factors.  From jet skis to ships and barges successful performances are related to visual/performance tasks and judgmental abilities involving such factors as safe speed, maritime rules of the road, reacting timely to data and other similar standards.
