Following longstanding interest in the application of research neuroscience and human neuroergonomics to the public health sector, I chose additional technical graduate education, in neuroscience-centered design, toward an additional postdoctoral graduate degree, while maintaining full-time medical practice. During this time, on a clinical research and academic basis, I researched intensive care unit and hospital design science, artificial intelligence, neural networking, sensory neuroscience and design. as it pertains to an optimized milieu and compassionate care for chronically ill patients.
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Masters of Science (MS) degree, Architectural Sciences: 2005, focus on health-care environments and hospital design. I received an additional MS graduate degree in Architectural Sciences.
Throughout my career, I have presented to various corporate, university, governmental and advocacy organizations on a continuum of topics pertaining to pediatric neurology, development, neurochemistry, motor neurons, movement disorders, infectious diseases, migraine care, autism spectrum disorders and TBI-traumatic brain injury.
