Aug 2006- present
A Corporation, Radiation Oncology, Detroit, Michigan.
Working in the co-ordination and collaboration with 7 Board Certified Radiation Oncologists to provide essential health-care and cancer treatment pathways for oncology. Treatment includes both curative and palliative treatment regimens. Benign conditions warranting treatment are also addressed. Responsible for diagnosis, treatment and follow-up under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist. Responsible for ordering of radiology and laboratory tests as well as interpretation. Work in conjunction with on site social worker, dietitian and home health agencies. Coordinate care with Medical Oncology and other Specialty disciplines. Perform consultations- inpatient and outpatient as well as follow-up visits and weekly check-ins. Address any acute problems in outpatient clinical setting in collaboration with the floor physician. Currently enrolled in JFCC Survivorship committee and bimonthly CME lectures.

Minute Clinic Corporation, Southfield, Michigan.
Part-time casual. Work in the capacity of a Family Nurse Practitioner in a fast track free standing clinic located in CVS pharmacies. Diagnosis, prescribe and treat a variety of acute illness in pediatric patients over 18 months of age up to adult age. Responsible for billing insurance, referring, triaging and immunization updating data under MCIR. Follow corporate policy and promote health care and wellness in the retail setting. Perform basic laboratory tests under CLIA licensing.

Texas City Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic, Texas City, Texas.
Under the direction of VALOR Inc., worked in the capacity of a primary care provider along with 3-5 other mid-level practitioners under the guidelines of family practice and the Houston Area Michael Debakey Veterans Administration. Population of clients include acutely ill veterans and their spouses. Most patients have served in some capacity in the United States Army/ Navy/ Air Force or Marines. Most clients are male. Psychiatric medicine also provided as well as therapy at the clinic. Responsibilities included delegation of duties to ancillary staff; interpretation of labs/ cardiology results/ radiology results, as well as being the gate keeper to specialty services. Direct patient care also provided. Full time position with pager call- Monday through Friday.

March 2004- Feb 2005
Galveston County Health District, Texas City/ Galveston, Texas.
Worked in the capacity of a mid-level provider diagnosing, treating and prescribing medications to the working and non-working uninsured. Primarily Hispanic and Asian population with language barriers. Responsible for interpretation of one’s own labs and knowing the rules of Medicare and Medicaid. Involved in Breast Cancer screening clinics with mobile vans traveling the county. Active member in Clinic Redesign Committee to increase patient flow. Involved in care of HIV patients and those with STDs as well as chronic and acute conditions.

Allen Parish School District, Oakdale, Louisiana.
Worked in the capacity of nurse practitioner in a rural school setting which incorporated middle school/ alternative school and high school health based clinic. Covered the impoverished Allen Parish student body during school hours for acute illness and chronic management under the supervision of Board certified Pediatrician. Funding based solely on Grant monies. Clinic included a full-time RN, a licensed Social worker/therapist and a CLIA waived laboratory.

Feb 2003 – Sept 2003
Memorial Herman Baptist Hospital, Orange, Texas.
Part-time Employed to work in collaboration with other nurse practitioners under the direction of Board Certified Internal Medicine Intestivists. Responsible for hospital admissions as well as management of ICU, Med/Surg/ Telemetry/ Rehab/ and OB/GYN patients. Required to carry a pager/ dictate/ order and interpret ones owns labs under the direction of 4 floor Md’s. Also responsible for attendance and participation in Code Blues.

Aug 2000 – Jan 2003
Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Worked part time on a Pediatric/ PICU/ Post Part-um and NICU floors as staff nurse and charge nurse. Responsible for all duties including direct patient care/ parent teaching/ and staff training and supervision. Worked in conjunction with Family Practice Residents.
