In the field of diagnostic adult Neuroradiology I have been working on brain tumors, autoimmunity and metabolic disorders during the last 15 years. More specifically I funded the Wernicke Encephalopathy Working Group an international team of experts working on alcoholic encephalopathies.
I co-founded one of the first Stroke Centers in Italy and I organized several courses on stroke imaging protocols. My clinical experience in the field of adult neuroradiology also includes multiple sclerosis and epilepsy.
My academic activity includes new research projects and publications, teaching of residents and medical students, and mentoring of fellows of radiology, Neuroradiology, Oncology, Neurology, and Emergency Medicine.
Expert 865 fields of clinical expertise include the following:
1) Single voxel and multi voxel spectroscopy.
2) Post natal neuro MR.
3) CINE Flow MRI imaging.
4) Temporomandibular joint imaging.
5) Perfusion imaging.
6) fMRI for epilepsy.
7) Volumetric imaging.
8) Myopathies imaging (Muskoloskeletal).
9) Brain tumors, multimodal imaging.
10) Stroke imaging.
11) Fast protocols for shunts, hydrocephalus.
12) Spinal cord emergencies.
13) Maxillofacial imaging.
14) Head and neck imaging.
15) Dynamic imaging in sleep apnea.
16) Congenital malformations.
17) Neuroanatomical imaging in cerebellar, brainstem and cortical malformations.
18) Myelogram MRI.
19) Imaging techniques of the eye.
20) Fast imaging protocols.
21) Radioprotection.
22) MRI Safety.
