Department of Emergency Medicine, Research Assistant, Summer 1999. Participated in all aspects of research for the investigation of pneumonia secondary to the aspiration of activated charcoal.

Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center; Shreveport, Louisiana
Department of Cellular and Molecular Physiology, Summers of 1994-1997. Participated in all aspects of research for the investigation of cardiac dysfunction in liver disease. Specifically worked with intracellular fluorescent dyes to measure calcium transients, as well as cardiomyo- cyte isolation and culture.
