CURRICULUM VITAE

As an internal medicine specialist I can consult on several large animal species with medical (non-surgical) conditions, species including horses, cattle, alpacas, llamas, goats and sheep. Medical conditions that I can consult on include medical respiratory disorders such as pneumonia; renal and liver disease, toxicities, muscular disorders (non-orthopedic), and medical gastrointestinal disorders (peritonitis, non-surgical colic, colitis/diarrhea).

2004: National Phi Zeta Clinical Research Literary Award for the manuscript:  ‘Effect of dietary starch, fat and bicarbonate content on exercise responses and serum creatine kinase activity in equine recurrent exertional rhabdomyolysis’. Publication redacted.

2009: Inducted into the National Veterinary Honor Society of Phi Zeta for contributions to the veterinary profession.

2010: Invited as one of 30 nationally selected charter diplomates of the newly established American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (ACVSMR)

2010: Oregon State University’s recipient for the Pfizer Award for Research Excellence

2010: Invited to sit a 12 year term on the 10 member international committee of the International Conference of Equine Exercise Physiology.
