1996 – 1997  Effect of Radiofrequency Ablation on the Quality of Life of Patients With Symptomatic Tachycardias.  Clinical Research Assistant – Carle Hospital – Champaign, IL.  Obtained consent, conducted interviews, gathered data, and initiated write-up for publication.

1996 – 1997  Effect of Nerve Growth Factor on Axon Growth and Regeneration in the
Nervous System.  Faculty sponsor: Esmail Meisami, Ph.D.  Performed various biochemical tests on homogenized olfactory bulbs of rats.

1995 – 1997  Department of Cognitive Neuroscience, Beckman Institute of Science and Technology, Univ. of Illinois.  Faculty Sponsor: Marie Banich, Ph.D.  Studied how the brain allocates attentional resources during tasks of various complexities.  Developed various experiments, tested subjects, helped to design follow up studies and presented results at a conference.  Co-authored a poster presentation at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research (April 18 – 20 1997, North Carolina).
